STARS drug and alcohol awareness
Introducing a one off session that puts the spotlight on an important topic – drug and alcohol awareness. We believe that conversations about these matters are vital, and that’s why we’re delighted to have the STARS team on board to lead an insightful session for young people.
The STARS team will be hosting an open-access drop-in session that provides a comfortable environment for engaging conversations. This relaxed setup encourages open discussions about vaping, stimulant drugs, alcohol, depressant drugs and more for young people under 20 years of age.
Tables will be set up with a variety of resources, including a drugs box, tar jars, liver jars, alcohol unit glasses and age-appropriate literature. Case workers will be on hand to encourage conversations, offer one-on-one advice, and create a supportive atmosphere for both individual chats and group discussions.
Whether you’re seeking advice, information, or just a safe space to talk, this session is designed with you in mind. STARS staff will also be there to provide additional support, ensuring that we have a range of expertise available to cater to various needs.
At HEFF we’re all about creating an inclusive environment that addresses important topics and is age appropriate. Your wellbeing matters, and we’re here to foster understanding, offer support, and encourage meaningful conversations.
Suitable for: 13+ adults are also welcome
