Carer’s Ticket Policy
Our policy is based on a person’s entitlement to non means tested disability benefits.
The following people may bring one additional person using a free carer ticket whether or not that person is in receipt of Carer’s Allowance. The cost of these people’s own tickets is unaffected.
- A child who is in receipt of DLA, or Scottish Child Disability Payment
- An adult who is in receipt of PIP, or Scottish Adult Disability Payment, and is the parent or person acting “in loco parentis” for a child who is attending
- A person who is in receipt of Carer’s Allowance in respect of another attendee, and who attends solely for the purpose of caring for the attendee, may use a free carer ticket.
If two or more of the above apply, only one free ticket can be used per person with disability.
To apply for a carer’s ticket, please contact us with your proof of entitlement* before booking and we will send a link for you to book the carer’s ticket if you are eligible.
If you have professional paid carers to support your family, please contact us so we can arrange tickets for you.
*Proof can be a DWP (or SSS in Scotland) letter confirming your receipt of one of the above mentioned benefits.
