Train rides at HEFF2023

27 Apr 2023 | News

Exciting new workshop and activity for HEFF2023

Our new venue Staffordshire Showground is also home to the Stafford & District Model Engineering Society and they have a fully functioning miniature railway within the grounds.

For one day during the festival we are offering each child a ride on the railway. There will also be an accompanying workshop where you can ask questions and see a steam engine up close. There is no extra charge for this, it is included in the ticket price.

Tickets (one per child) can be collected from 10am on the day from near the railway (date TBC, see programme on arrival at the festival for info). The first rides will start at 10:30.

Please note the following:

đźš‚ A parent or guardian must ride with under 8s and children with additional needs.

đźš‚ Tickets will be allocated in 15 minute time slots on a first come first served basis but people will able to choose a later slot if they want to.

đźš‚ Parents must accompany children for the workshops

There may be an opportunity for people to take a second ride later in the day if we have capacity. An announcement will be made if this is the case.

The last train will run at about 16:30.

We hope you will agree this is an exciting opportunity as it’s only available due to us moving venues. If you haven’t bought your festival tickets yet, there’s still time but don’t leave it too long as tickets are likely to sell out.
